“Look out, everybody, things are about to get awesome!”
Studying in London has been a dream since I first visited it. I was eleven, on a school trip, and I fell so deeply in love with this city. Gaming has been a passion of mine for years, starting with titles that may seem odd as the first ones ever encountered – Mass Effect, The Witcher, Portal -, and yet, they would provide the groundwork of an ever-expanding horizon and the broad variety of games I play nowadays.
The day I learned I could study Games Design in London was one of the happiest ones of my life, and I’ve enjoyed every second of the course so far.
So, why do this?
- Because I spend an unreasonable amount of time gaming – however, in this course I get to call that research! -, and I’m passionate about finding out what makes art work
- Because I used to write, and blogging and reviewing games seemed like a good way of findig my voice again
- Because I play quirky games and read thought-provoking articles and books on a daily basis as coursework, and I love sharing and discussing ideas and opinions on those
Well, we’re here. Don’t worry about saying goodbye. I’m sure we’ll be doing this all again soon enough. Haha… get off my bus.
